Sewing classes for beginners, include hand embroidery, the very popular Machine Sewing for the Terrified and free machine embroidery workshops. These beginner workshops are limited to four so you get lots of attention, in the fun, relaxed and friendly studio space where Linda teaches. What do people say about Linda workshops? Creative Thread also provide a fabulous range of textile workshops from, Contemporary Rag rug techniques, felt making, making porcelain buttons, lots of stitch projects, crochet, book sculpture, printing and more, just too many techniques to mention here. Workshops are run in light, airy Village Halls and Arts Centres in the Garstang area, with excellent facilities. The Jewellery Maker

 The Jewellery Maker (Jewellery Making Courses) We have a number of different courses from 1 day workshops to 3 and 5 day intensive courses and weekly silver smithing classes. All the information on courses can be found here: http://www.thejewellerymaker.co.uk/courses/ Our weekly class is... 6.30 to 9pm on Wednesday or 12.15 to 2.45 on Tuesday and costs £75 for a half term (6 week block). This course will teach you the basics of Silversmithing; marking out, sawing, filing, soldering, texturing, polishing and finishing. In a 6 week course you can expect to make a number of different items depending upon the complexity of your designs. Once ready to move on to the advanced group, you will learn the more challenging techniques of reticulation, anticlastic raising, hot and cold connections and stone setting. |

Workshops
These are limited to 15 people so it has to be first come first served! If a workshop is oversubscribed and we have sufficient numbers, we will attempt to hold a second one.
Each workshop will cost around £15 per person which will be due on the day of the workshop. The workshop will run from 10 am to 4 pm and be held in the Studio.
Tutorials
Ken Weigh is titled Improving your watercolours . The total fee is only £30 and is payable on the first session. Maximum number of attendees is 18
Ray Swift will be holding a tutorial titled Pencil work and perspective. The total fee is only £25 and is payable on the first session. Maximum number of attendees is 15

Scrap Book Making with Priscilla Jones.
Spend the day learning how to create scrap-books and journals out of your old fabrics, scrap paper/card and haberdashery. This is a great way to experiment with techniques such a stitch, collage and surface decoration to make something that is personal to you. During the day you will create your own collaged papers and fabrics and learn how to assemble them into the form of a book. You can make any size of scrap-book you wish and create it for a special purpose either to keep all those important bits and bobs you can never find a place for, perhaps a sketch book, or maybe a photograph album the choice is yours.
