New Designers Gouache Product News
Winsor & Newton
Designers Gouache range has undergone an extensive review in
our research and development laboratory to make it even
better. The range has been updated and now offers a wide and
balanced spectrum of 85 colours (82 colours are available in
14ml tubes).
Each colour has been specially formulated to offer the
greatest choice and flexibility, ensuring that all artists
can choose the best palette to suit their work.
The range of 85 colours includes 17 new exciting bold
colours, including 3 cadmiums and 2 ultra bright operas.
Winsor & Newton have also modified 26 colours improving
their brilliance, permanence ratings and mixing abilities.
The remaining 42 colours are unchanged proving they cannot
be bettered.
In addition to reviewing the formulations Winsor & Newton have also
added additional information to the tube labels, such as
permanence and opacity ratings and pigment information. All
of which is intended to help artists, when they are
selecting the colour they need.
The sets in the range have also been updated with fresh
new packaging, which shows off the key attributes of
Designers Gouache e.g. vibrant opaque water colour

Arti'stick is available in 19 colours, including 3
glittering and 1 phosphorescent. These vivid and brilliant
colours are supplemented by 3 outliners. Both colour and
outliner can be applied directly from the tube, on the
majority of smooth and non-porous surfaces such as glass,
plastic, metal, ceramic...
As neither water nor brush are needed, it is remarkably easy
to apply : depending on the pressure used, the plastic
nozzle allows you to draw easily even lines or uniform flat
washes. The Arti'stick colours can be mixed together and can
be applied before or after the outliners. However, it is
easier to apply the outliner first to delimit the design.
When wet, the Arti'stick colours are pale and opaque and
take on all their vividness and become transparent while
drying. After 24 hours of drying, the pattern can be peeled
off. It can be removed and repositioned as often as wished on
numerous objects with smooth surfaces : window, tiles,
mirror, notebook cover... It can also decorate porous
surfaces such as paper, cardboard or wood, but in this case,
it cannot be removed !
Once the film is dry, it can be easily cut and will allow
you to make colourful puzzles and mosaics. To put together
the pieces that have been cut, a simple line of outliner is
needed.
Through our 5 pattern packets, children will discover very
